Presbyterian Academy Pwani started way back in 1978 as a Nursery school. It had 25 pupils by the end of that year. Due to the expansion, both in pupil’s enrolment, and later the Physical infrastructure, the parents and the church saw it befitting to start a Primary wing.
Consequently thus in 1997, there was a change of name from St. Margaret’s Nursery School to Presbyterian Academy Pwani. In 2000, the school enrolment had grown to 135 pupils. The school had its first KCPE in 2006; and obtained a mean score of 322.19 marks.
